Code 128 bar codes are widely used for inventory, ID, and tracking purposes. They're one of the most popular symbologies used in the shipping and distribution industries. Many labeling specifications explicitly require a Code 128 or GS1-128 bar codes.
The Code 128 barcode symbology gets its name from the characters it supports: the lower 128 ASCII characters. Code 128 can be used to encode both upper- and lowercase letters, numbers, punctuation, and several non-typeable control codes. All Code 128 bar codes have in them a mandatory mod 103 check digit to insure data integrity. Code 128 barcodes are denser than Code 39, making them ideal for longer data strings.
C128Tools includes five different Code 128 fonts in TrueType and Type 1 PostScript format. Choosing between the different bar code fonts allows you to design the Code 128 barcode for your label, report or document with absolute precision. 2, 5 and 10 year Site Licenses are also available and cover unlimited in-company installations. A 2 year Site License is $595, a 5 year Site License is $995, and a 10 year Site License is $1,795.
We also offer C128Tools Commercial Redistribution Licenses, which allow you to incorporate Azalea fonts or other components into your commercial product or service for resale.
