ISBN-13 barcode software Bookland barcodesISBN stands for International Standard Book Number, a unique commercial book identifier. The ‘13’ in ISBN-13 refers to the total number of digits in the barcode- twelve numbers of the ISBN plus one check digit. The barcode is typically made up of five components: a GS1 prefix of 978 or 979, the country group identifier, the publisher code, the item number, and a mod 11 check digit. Since January 1, 2007, ISBNs are 13 digits, compatible with Bookland EAN-13s.

ISBNs are often followed by a five digit supplemental code. The supplemental contains the book’s price. In the United States, the prefix 5 is used to denote US dollars. The supplemental is then filled out to total five digits. For example a book that costs $17.99 would have the supplemental code of 51799. A price of $6.56 would be expressed in the supplemental as 50656.

UPCTools License Types

UPCTools is $199 US per Single User License for Windows or Macintosh operating systems, $299 per Linux/UNIX system. A Single User License covers installation on one computer and never expires.

2, 5 and 10 year Site Licenses are available for UPCTools. Site Licenses cover unlimited in-company installations for 24, 60 or 120 months. A 2 year Site License is $595 US, a 5 year Site License is $995 US and a 10 year Site License is $1,795 US.

We also offer UPCTools Commercial Redistribution Licenses, which allow you to incorporate Azalea fonts or other components into your commercial product or service for resale. Commercial Redistribution Licenses are $2,500 US for a 5 year license term.
