Interleaved 2 of 5, sometimes referred to as ITF, is a continuous two-width barcode symbology that encodes only numbers. A very compact symbology, each pair of numbers in an Interleaved 2 of 5 barcode is represented by only one character. Interleaved 2 of 5 barcodes employ a 2:1 compression ratio, so the data to be encoded must be even digit strings. The first digit of an I2of5 barcode is encoded in five bars while the second digit is encoded in the five spaces interleaved with them, thus the symbology’s name.
Interleaved 2 of 5 barcodes are widely used in the distribution and shipping industries. Interleaved 2 of 5 bar codes are used on containers, corrugated boxes, cartons, and pallets, and are part of many shipping specifications. They’re also utilized in laboratories and by the medical industry.
Azalea’s I2of5Tools software comes with two different barcode fonts. One font is handily pre-narrowed to compensate for ink spread during printing to silk-screen or other non-offset method. If you input a data string that’s an odd number of digits long, I2of5Tools automatically corrects the error by adding a leading zero. It’s foolproof!

I2of5Tools is $199 US per Single User License for Windows or Macintosh operating systems, $299 per Linux/UNIX system. A Single User License covers installation on one computer and never expires.
2, 5 and 10 year Site Licenses are available for I2of5Tools. Site Licenses cover unlimited in-company installations for 24, 60 or 120 months. A 2 year Site License is $595 US, a 5 year Site License is $995 US and a 10 year Site License is $1,795 US.
We also offer I2of5Tools Commercial Redistribution Licenses, which allow you to incorporate Azalea fonts or other components into your commercial product or service for resale. Commercial Redistribution Licenses are $2,500 US for a 5 year license term.
