ocr-a & ocr-b
OCR (Optical Character Recognition) fonts are used whenever error-free machine readable symbols are needed. Many global standards and specifications require the use of either OCR-A or OCR-B. For example, OCR-B is used the human-readable digits under UPC, ISBN-13, JAN, and EAN barcodes. OCR-A is used for the ISBN number itself separate and apart from the barcode on book covers and dust jackets.
