If you want to print barcodes on a LaserJet printer using downloadable PCL fonts (a.k.a. soft fonts) we sell fixed pitch PCL fonts too. We sell all of our font sets in this format. These are not scalable PCL fonts. These fonts are ideal for those printing from OSs other than Windows or the Mac who are writing their own print stream.
These PCL bar code fonts are SFP fonts. These are PCL fonts you download to your printer. They are fixed pitch fonts, not scaleable. Don't worry, there are a large number of point sizes for Code 39 and Code 128.
Use these fonts swith our free sample code to generate your barcode strings. The sample code figures out any check digits and then adds the start and stop bars to your input string. We have a sample PCL macro that may be of some use to you. It's so old, we've forgotten how it works. Others have found it of benefit.
