If you want to print barcodes on a LaserJet printer using downloadable PCL fonts (a.k.a. soft fonts) we sell fixed pitch PCL fonts too. These PCL barcode fonts are ideal for those printing from OSs other than Windows or the Mac. People who are writing out their own PCL print stream can use these fonts too.
These PCL bar code fonts are sometimes called SFP fonts. These are not scalable PCL fonts.
Use these fonts swith our free sample code to generate your barcode strings. The sample code figures out any check digits and then adds the start and stop bars to your input string. We have a sample PCL macro that may be of some use to you. It's so old, we've forgotten how it works. Others have found it of benefit.
