Use our Excel plugin to print UPC, EAN, and ISBN-13 barcodes. This Excel plugin addes the guard bars, calculates the check digit(s), and maps into our fonts' character set.
If you are printing UPC bar codes from within an Excel project, the easiest thing to do is to use our barcode.dll after you've installed our fonts on your machine.
Download AzaleaBarCodes.xla into your XLStart directory (Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\XLSTART). Put barcode.dll into either your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 or \WINNT\SYSTEM32 directory.
Open your own spreadsheet.
Enter valid data in the cells you want to encode into bar codes. Here, our "input data" column is Column A.

Select B1 or the cell you want to contain the bar code symbol. Type the equal sign "=".
The available functions drop down list becomes active (black arrow above A1 cell). Note that you also may do this and the following by going to Menu Insert/Function.

Select "More functions". Another window pops up. Choose "User defined" (meaning, in this sample, the list of available functions within your XLStart directory add-in’s). Azalea's UPC functions appear. Select "AzaleaUPC_A" or whatever type of bar code you need. Click the OK button.

Pass the function an argument. In this sample, the content of cell A1. Click the OK button.

Select B1. Go to "Format" menu, choose "Cell" then click the "Font" tab. Select a UPC font and point size (73 points for a full-sized symbol).

To center the bar code, click the "Alignment" tab and choose Center for both horizontal and vertical.

Select A1-A4 / B1-B4, File/Print Preview. Here is a "Print Preview" screen shot.
