UPC stands for Universal Product Code and UPC barcodes are the symbols you see on almost every retail product that passes through a checkout line. If it's a barcode on a product's packaging, if it is scanned at the cash register, then it's a UPC symbol in the US, a JAN in Japan, and an EAN in the rest of the world. Book covers? ISBN-13. The good news is that UPCTools prints them all.
If you need only one or two barcodes then use our bundled utility to create your barcodes and then just paste them into your target application. Create, copy, paste, you're done. If you need to print hundreds or thousands of barcodes, simply use our free Excel, Access, or Crystal Reports plug-ins and turn your list of data into perfect barcodes in a matter of seconds.
Use UPCTools to create UPC version A, UPC version E, ISBN-13, EAN, ISSN, or JAN barcodes. UPCTools comes with ten different barcode fonts. Choose between full- or half-height barcodes, some pre-narrowed to compensate for ink spread on the printing press, all carefully designed to meet GS1 barcode standards. UPCTools calculates the necessary UPC check digit for your UPC, ISBN-13, EAN, ISSN and JAN barcodes.
Just getting started with UPC barcodes? Relax, we've written a UPC tutorial to help familiarize you with UPC barcodes in general.
